Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology
The Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology, more commonly known as DSPT, is a religious college with graduate programs based in Berkeley, California, and is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. The Dominican Order’s Western Province (formally known as the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus) supports the school. As part of the Graduate Theological Union and associate of the University of California Berkeley, the school provides coeducational programs for Catholics and those of other faiths, along with instruction for members of the Western Province.The school also provides a Special Student curriculum for students not pursuing degrees. Both the Association of Theological Schools and the WASC provide recognition for the School and its studies.
