Bergin University of Canine Studies

Located in Sonoma County, California, Bergin University of Canine Studies is the only institution in the world of its kind. Bergin University (under the direction of Dr. Bonita Bergin) is a fully accredited university that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in canine-related businesses, human-canine relationships, dog training as well as assistance dog partnerships.

Bergin University offers two associate degrees, a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree program. In addition, students may earn a certificate of completion by finishing one of the short-term training program or seminars. Continuing education is also offered for students that are already working within the field of canine studies.

The vision of Dr. Bergin is to increase the understanding of the “human-dog bond”. The school has the philosophy that they are “helping dogs help people” as the only institution that offers degrees in canine studies.
