Bellus Academy-National City is one of four branches of this advanced beauty school. Bellus Academy is one of the only beauty schools in the nation that offers advanced training and licensure in multiple areas. The mission at Bellus Academy is to ensure the highest quality education from the most top-notch professional instructors.The campus in National City offers the following programs: Make-Up Artistry, Spa Nail Technician, Cosmetology and Advanced Cosmetology. Students wanting a career in the make-up industry will find what they need at Bellus Academy. By partnering up with Make-Up Designory (or MUD), Bellus can offer their elite Beauty Make-up Artistry program. Bellus is one of few academies that have been given the approval to offer this program. Students taking the Cosmetology program will be taught by the industry’s top professionals. Bellus has developed their own Precision Haircutting System (S.T.A.R.) that teaches students all the most up-to-date techniques and skills. In the Advanced Cosmetology program, students will get the same education they get in Cosmetology with a little additional training. Students will also take courses designed to teach them the advanced skills they will need to be future salon owners. Students in the Spa Nail Technician program will not just learn the basics of manicuring. They will also be given training in spa treatments that top salons demand.
Bellus offers federal financial aid to students that qualify. Students will have access to Career Services and will be guided through the job search process to find the perfect salon to begin their career. Students at Bellus gain needed experience through hours worked in the salon in Beverly Hills. Many nail, skincare and hair services are offered to the public at a discount.
